Katherine (Kat) McDonnell
Founder, Owner & Director
Hello and welcome! I’m Kat McDonnell, the founder and owner of Studio 108.
My journey with movement began in 2002 while raising my three kids in Stratham. What started as a personal quest for health quickly grew into a lifelong calling. Over two decades of practice on the mat and Reformer have shown me that targeted movement builds far more than physical strength, it restores vitality and keeps us moving freely through every season of life.
From our flagship studio in Stratham to Studio 108 West End in Portsmouth, my vision has always been to create a welcoming home for every-body. I am deeply passionate about how yoga and Pilates support graceful, active aging. Building core strength and joint mobility isn't about perfection; it’s about staying active and injury-free, whether you're playing tennis, pickleball, running, or keeping up with family. I want to help you connect with your core, own your strength, and find your rhythm on the mat.
That same care extends to our teaching team and community. I am committed to mentoring our instructors through sponsored apprenticeships, continuing education, fair pay, and time off for self-care. When teachers feel truly valued, that positive energy fills every room.
Finally, movement is about connection. Beyond our weekly classes, corporate wellness, and private gatherings, Studio 108 is proud to give back by supporting causes close to our hearts, including Yoga in Action, Breast Cancer awareness, reproductive rights, The Trevor Project, and Education for All Children.
I look forward to welcoming you to the studio!
