ANITHA NAIR
I am purposeful in teaching authentic yoga rooted in traditional practices from a Malayalee lineage. My classes offer a full span of offerings that you’ll find in a traditional class from pranayam and meditation; weaving yoga philosophy, theory and the history of asanas throughout the class. I find it’s important as a steward of my culture to teach students the entire arc of yoga, to inspire them to learn off their mats. I love teaching asana classes, and like to use it as a base to introduce deeper meditative practices.
As a Navy spouse, I am passionate about offering yoga to all of our service members and it has been such a privilege to get to expose them to a deeply healing modality. My ultimate goal is to ensure that students learn how to connect their own mind, to body and spirit over time.
